Hey. Watch me!!!

Hey, watch me do my flip.  Hey, watch me do my serve.  Hey, watch me do my handstand.  I hear these same sentences every summer at the pool, and I love them.  I have seen the flip, the handstand, the serve, the somersaults, and countless other tricks since they could say "hey, watch me".   I have a close friend that used to call home from work and her kids would be busy playing simple everyday things and she would hang up and sigh...."I'm missing a moment."  She hated to miss any moment, no matter how small.  I have to agree 100% with this.  I look back now at when they were little and their excitement for me to "watch them".  I am glad they still want that.  It's not the trips to the beach and Disney that are going to matter as much as the moments I try to give them.  I have posted this before, but I hope they take into their adult life these little memories of little moments.  I hope they can see how important they are and give that to their own families one day.  I wish they could understand that these moments mean the world to me, and I will stop and watch them do the flip, the handstand, and everything else hundreds of more times.   I will be sad they day they stop asking.  Take time to stop and watch and enjoy every moment.  They are all big moments to them.  Have a great day.
